Formatting laptop with broken screen
Fafakam -
Hello,
I'm writing this post because I wanted to format my Acer laptop which has a completely unusable broken screen.
My screen is therefore an external display connected via VGA.
The problem is that once my PC turned off and then restarted to format the PC, I'm left without the possibility of seeing the screen because my external display is no longer showing anything (no signal).
Can you please help me? A quick response would be appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Hello,
If there has been formatting, it's normal that we cannot see anything on any screen, but we won't even see the boot sequence because display on an external screen is only possible if it is configured for that and only when the boot sequence has loaded the drivers.
In other words, if this display is not configured, we can't even blindly boot from an installation USB drive since we don't have access to the BIOS settings that make the USB port a priority. -
Good evening
Just in case, try the Fn+F5 key, which allows you to change the screen on an Acer.
Good luck
