Cannot install apps on my external hard drive

Hello!
I already contacted Microsoft support, but they didn't help me much by constantly following their protocols...
When I try to install games from the Microsoft Store on an external hard drive (Toshiba), strangely nothing happens, not even an error code, just nothing.
Do you have any idea what could potentially be causing this?
Thanks in advance! :D

Good evening,
Some developers or publishers (most of them to my knowledge) prefer or only allow installation on the main drive (C:) or at least on a partition of an internal disk. This is probably for security reasons, installed in a protected area.
I don't know if this is the case for Microsoft products, but you can check by installing the game on C:.
As for changing the publisher's process, it would require access to the source code, which is excluded for proprietary software, whether free or not, and is obviously not possible if Microsoft does not allow installation on an external drive.
Hello,
Besides the fact that applications themselves generally install automatically in the WindowsApps folder of Programs (so on C:), it’s often even more ridiculous than that: any game, software, or whatever cannot function without a minimum of registrations on the system partition.
I have a dedicated F: partition for my programs, but when I format C:, most of them no longer work without at least restarting the installer in repair mode because there are registrations not only in the Users folder of C: and the registry but also in the Programs, Programs (x86) folder or the C:\Windows folder.
When the installation routine does not allow you to customize the installation not of the entire program (on a non-system disk, that’s impossible), but of the data of that program on another medium (this is the case for Adobe software for instance, if I remember correctly), there’s no way to recover that space anywhere other than on the system drive.
Good evening,
So, in short, I can't install my Microsoft Flight Simulator game on my external hard drive? If that's the case, it's extremely inconvenient because I don't have enough space on partitions C: and D: of my internal hard drive.
So in my current situation, the only way to install the game is to free up space on my internal hard drive? If that's the case, it's going to be complicated... ????
Hello,
A little less than 100 GB for the installation...
