Hello everyone,

I have developed files with macros that work as long as the file is on the computer but do not work when the said file is on OneDrive!

The pink macro security banner appears.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hello,

If you access the file online, you are using a web application rather than a desktop application. The coding of a macro is incompatible with a web language, and therefore macros do not work with the online version of Excel.

Clearly, I explained myself poorly. The file is in a OneDrive folder shared with another person. This shared folder is included in both of our OneDrive accounts. My colleague opens the Excel file using the Excel application, not the online app, and upon opening, the pink macro security banner appears, disabling them.

On my machine, I open the file from the shared folder of my OneDrive using the Excel application, and everything works fine.

If my colleague copies the file to his desktop, everything works, but the file is no longer shared!

I almost forgot, the versions of Excel are the same; it is Office 365 Family.

It's because their macro settings are not the same as yours. It's in options, then trust center, you need to compare the options of your two settings.

Hello

If you want to read the file on another PC, to avoid what thev explains, the simplest way is to save the file directly on that other PC (and have a compatible version of Excel...)

Hello,

If my colleague copies the file to his desktop, everything works, but the file is no longer shared!

It's important to note that sharing only works for online modifications (Excel online application). When the file is brought to the PC (desktop Excel application), it is also necessary to check through the file properties that the macros haven't been blocked: This file comes from another computer and may possibly be blocked to protect this computer."
