Unable to type letters on my landline phone

Hello,
My landline phone is a Gigaset AL 117 A. Until now, I was able to transfer calls from the landline to my mobile when I was away from home without any problems. I wanted to do it again, and it’s impossible to enter the letters; I can only type the numbers. I might have made a mistake somewhere! If any of you have any idea, I would appreciate it and thank you in advance.
- Hide my landline number....
- Good evening, the keypad of my "PHILIPS" landline phone is frozen.
- no ringtone on my Gigaset landline phone
- reduce the number of rings on Alcatel F630 landline phone
- Unable to make calls with my Gigaset C620 A landline phone
- How to type * and # on an Alcatel F 330 landline phone.

Hello,
I don't quite understand the connection between call forwarding and the need to type letters on the keyboard of a landline phone.
From a landline phone, at Orange, to forward a call to a mobile (or landline) phone you need to:
- Dial *21*.
- Enter the ten digits of the number to which you want to forward your calls.
- Press the # key.
- Finish with the "Pick up" key.
Note: You will hear the message "Your request has been recorded and accepted, you can hang up." - Press the key to hang up.
It's very hard to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...
First of all, thank you baladur 13 for your response. For call forwarding, I type USSD*21* and then I have to type letters that, as I said, were working until now. As soon as I enter, I will try with only *21*, but that doesn't explain why all of a sudden it's no longer possible to type letters.
Thanks again for your response.
The acronym USSD stands for Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (Services Supplémentaires pour Données Structurées in French).
You are asked to enter an USSD code, but the code is *21*, so no letters need to be typed.
On a wireless phone, you can only enter letters if you add to the directory (for example, setting up the name).

Thank you! I'm a bit of a fool, but all this is complicated for me since I was born at the end of the war. In any case, I always find someone on this site to help me. Thank you baladur 13, it's easier for me to type, have a nice day.
