4K Movies Playback Issues on 4K TV

Hello,

Your TV cannot play 4K movies because it lacks the HEVC H265 codec that allows it to play 4K videos, which means 2160.

Here is the solution:

Download All codecs for Archos Video onto an external hard drive.

Then, install it on your TV by clicking on this new file as if you wanted to watch a movie. Your TV will ask you for access permissions that you will need to approve.

Once installed, reboot your TV by turning it off and then on again, and it should work.

    Hello,

    I have doubts about your technique. What is the resolution of your TV (720p, 1080p,... etc)?... I use a box to read video files in MKV 4K (2160p) but my TV only displays in Full HD (1080p). So I stick with the native format of my TV.

    Hello, it goes without saying that the technique has been tested and works perfectly; using a media player does not address the issue at all because we are talking about a codec that is absent on 4K TVs.

    your max is full HD 1080 in H264 so you can't play H265 formats on your TV
