Stop reading movie on USB stick

Hello,
I read my AVI movies via a USB stick. It works perfectly except that the movie systematically stops after about 50 minutes. The movie restarts from the beginning. By using the fast forward function, I can see the continuation by fast-forwarding past the interruption.
When there are multiple movies on the stick, watching the first one stops and the second one starts.
What is the problem?
