I have a problem with my HP 2570 series printer.
I'm trying to print like you would start a machine, but every time I get a notification message indicating that printing is impossible.
What can you do, if it's not too much to ask?

Do we need to copy the exact notification..?
-- what is the computer... Brand ++ Model... version of Windows..? how long has this printer been working and how long has it refused to work...?
What should it be printing..?? and with which software...??
Does it print well with other applications...?
Does a photocopy work..?? using only the printer's buttons.

I took a while to respond because I didn't get any feedback from a geek.
Here it is.
For the information you need, here is what I have below:
-The computer is an Intel Core. Laptop-IINDU7SR. Microsoft Windows 11 Home. Version 10.0.22621 build 22621. Model HP LAPTOP 17 cn0xxx. Type x64. Processor 11th gen Intel(R) Core (TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz, 2419 MHz, 4 cores, 8 logical processors. Windows system 32. Version 10.0.22621.1413.

-I bought this printer several years ago, and I've never had a single issue. I must have had it since 2006.
-It prints pay slips, screenshots, pdf, jpg, docx files.
-What do you mean by "does it print well with other applications?" Can you be more specific, please?
-Copying photos works perfectly with the printer buttons, if I transfer the files to a USB stick, because this printer has several USB ports. So, if I want to print something, I have to save everything on my USB stick, which is a hassle.
-The connection to the computer is made via a multi-port USB connection to my computer.
Yes, when I said "it's not too much to ask," it was in response to a specific question to which I received no answer, and since it was the third time without a response, I expressed my impatience. However, there’s no problem because while going through the questions I asked on this site, I found my question about the printer, and I found your answer.

If it dates back to 2006, it's likely that the driver is not compatible with Windows 11...
Could you tell me how it was installed on Windows 11, with a CD or something else?

Let's say I bought this computer with Windows 10, then one fine morning a month ago, the program didn't give me any other choice but to install Windows 11 Home.
I noticed that it was possible to go back to Windows 10, but I'm hesitant; I'm afraid of damaging my computer. Can you say a few words about this?
When I bought this computer, I made the connections: computer socket, printer socket, ground socket. That's it. Nothing unusual; everything was working. However, it is indeed possible that since the program installed Windows 11, that could be the cause of the problem.

My POST 1 raised a number of minimum questions and, thus, also explained why you had no answers... indeed, a specialized question about a malfunction, remotely, requires some useful information to better understand the problem and ultimately resolve it (if possible)
"Print under other applications"?? does that mean with other programs than payroll... or photos...

At the end of your POST, you say you found the answer... So..? should we understand that there is no longer a problem and that your printer is working again..??

Neither do I, I don't know what I did, I must have been freewheeling while writing. I reread myself, and indeed one could believe there was a problem solved, but in no case, unfortunately, without success.

It happens that printers have difficulty printing a web page or because, as I understand it, it is not connected directly to a USB port on the PC but to a USB hub: try connecting it directly to a USB port and print the test page or a dummy text file with a few words.
The HP documentation explains that this model does not have a dedicated HP driver for Windows 10, but it is integrated into Windows 10, and it is incompatible with Windows 11 (therefore it is no longer integrated into Windows 11).
One can still try to download from dedicated sites a driver that these sites claim is the same from XP to Windows 11, but it seems to be at their own risk.
To my knowledge, we cannot downgrade to Windows 10 after the automatic update beyond 10 days, which means there would be no other solution than to format and reinstall Windows 10; I'm not sure it’s worth it for a printer of this age, or buying another model.Brucine ,

I would like to stay with HP as the HP 2570 series lasted for years without any issues, but I've received feedback from many advisors who reported bad experiences with the new HP printers.
However, I've heard good things about the brands "Brother", "Canon", and "Epson".

I don't have any stock; printers (multi-functional, I suppose?) are available from all manufacturers, what varies is the "specifications" (for example USB, Wifi, network, Fax...).
I have an Epson (multi-functional) and a Brother (black and white laser) which give me no problems, neither of them despite their age. Brother in particular has a reputation for reliability, but in all brands, entry-level models are less well made.
Wifi connections can be less reliable, I prefer (if the printer is close to the PC) USB or, even better, RJ45 network.
Some manufacturers, including HP, stuff the installation with "utilities" that serve little purpose other than slowing down the machine, but that can always be uninstalled.
Most recent cartridge printers come with chips that prevent the use of generic cartridges, significantly increasing the cost of use: it might be worth searching for that rare gem that doesn't have one or turning to another technology (tank printers, Laser...).
And of course, make sure of the compatibility with Windows 11.
