Hello

DC-DC power supply issue on HP Officejet Pro 8600

For information: already the second power supply with the same problem

I think the power supply (Ref:CM751-60045) waits for a return from the printer in standby mode (seen the crescent moon, See photos) in order to start but which one ?????

Strange thing: printed on the label for the output (photo): output + 32V/+12V-1095 mA/170mA, which would mean that the same terminal provides 2 different voltages?

For info: by connecting a stabilized supply (without going through the original supply) 32 V between the com and the +32V, my printer works perfectly.

My question is how to make this switching power supply operate and why this +12 volts, because I think that one is not faulty

For info: I have already done multiple searches on the net and other forums and found no answer to my problem

In advance thank you for your answers and advice

Annexes: label photo of the power supply, interior of it, output terminals (inscription)

    Hi

Strange thing Inscribed on the signage for the outlet (photo): output +32V/+12V-1095 mA/170mA, which would mean that the same outlet provides two different voltages?

That will depend on the input voltage; this power supply is designed to operate under US and EU standards, which is 110V for the first and 230V for the second (input +100/240V). The output voltage will be a function of the input mains voltage, i.e., the country as well.

Note that HP printer power supplies are known to be rather unreliable.

Good evening, I thank you for your reply regarding the bi-tension, but do you have an answer about the moon crossing (crescent) that seems to indicate that my supply is waiting for a response from the printer to operate?????

Honestly I ignore it, but I would interpret that more as a wake-up/put-to-sleep switch for the printer.

Hello, thank you for your reply, but for me it would be more like a printer return to idle to start the power supply. I resigned myself to buying a discounted 33V-2.5A power supply (8€), and it works perfectly. Thank you again
