Vectorize Canva file

Hello everyone,

I’ve been asked to vectorize a file created on CANVA using Adobe Illustrator (in PDF).

What format should I download my file from CANVA (pdf, vsg...?)

And how do I vectorize it?

One small issue, when I import the PDF file into Illustrator, it doesn’t recognize the CANVA font????

Thank you in advance for your help!

Yes, it's a flaw in Illustrator.. It can't import a PDF file using embedded fonts..
If you have Acrobat "Pro", vectorize the fonts before embedding or try opening your PDF file in Corel Draw, with the vectorization option.

Hello and thank you for your reply, I don't have Acrobat Pro but if it has to work, I will take the subscription. Are you sure that I will be able to vectorize the text with my font in Acrobat Pro?

Yes, if it is indeed text (re-coded or not)..
    Menu "tool/Print/Flattening Preview"

In the predefined flattening options for transparency, check "Vectorize all text" then "Apply" (and not OK!)

If you have created a graphic project on CANVA, then you have chosen the wrong software. CANVA is an easy-to-use tool for creating projects like presentations; it also allows for the creation of logos and other designs, but it is very limited in terms of tools. This software is therefore viewed quite negatively by graphic designers. Unfortunately, there is no solution to your problem other than restarting your project in Illustrator. I wish you good luck and remain available by email if you need help or advice. If things really aren't going well, please send me your project by email and I will be happy to vectorize it for you;)
