Picasa to Google Photos

Hello,

I have changed my computer and I want to recover the photos from Picasa, but this application no longer exists. How can I retrieve my photos?

Hello

If your photos were on a Picasa web album, they are now in Google Photos.

Otherwise, if they are on your old computer and you can still access it, either export them to Google or copy them to a USB drive from the folders.

Hello,

Picasa no longer has any communication function.

So to export your photos to Google Photos, you'll have to do it from the folders that contain the photos. (Remember that Picasa is just a manager and does not contain any photos).

You will do this from the Windows file explorer.

The downside is that all the albums you may have created with Picasa will be lost.
The enhancements you made with Picasa are retained since Picasa stores the modified photos in a Picasa folder. It's these modified photos that need to be sent to Google Photos.
