Hello,

Hello,

I don't know why, but we can no longer open Windows 10 on my wife's PC. Indeed, while everything was working fine, all the passwords are being rejected, and the message says: a problem has occurred and your PIN is not available. I have tried everything, all the passwords in my possession, in safe mode, etc... I can't reset it because I'm being asked for the password. She has everything on her PC and she no longer has access to it.

Can you help us?

Thank you.

      Hello
I think he already wrote it: A problem has occurred and your PIN is not available but apparently no code

      Regards

Upon rereading, it is true that this is not confirmed; please disregard my message :-)

I think it would be possible to try this.

    • Click the Power/Off button.
    • Click Restart while holding down the Shift key.
    • Go to Troubleshoot and find Advanced options.
    • Select Startup Repair.
    • Let Windows perform the repair.

@Madmike, I just did it. When I get to the blue window with repair, it asks me for the password and I tried everything without success.

Yet on mine I do have a password and a PIN on my Microsoft account, it's the same account as my wife's. What changed that before we entered a PIN code to open W10 and now access is denied?

      And what about Panth33ra's question?

Because it seems that at this point, the only option will be a complete reinstallation of Windows on the PC from a USB stick to restart the machine and perform a reinstallation without data loss, but I'm not sure if that will work either.
      Worth a try...
If not, everything will need to be reinstalled, but that will erase everything. I hope you had a regular backup system for the data on each PC, otherwise everything will be lost.

    Hello

This happened to me; PIN code rejection was resolved with the old password linked to the Microsoft Live account.

Not everyone is a genius, but we're working on it.
