Macbook, how to play games on Steam?

In theory, Steam is compatible, but when it comes to the available game catalog for Mac, that's a different story... you have to search on the publishers' sites for your games.

As for gaming and graphical power, that's a different world... compared to a Windows gaming laptop equipped with a real graphics card and a 13th generation processor, your Mac is going to fall behind.

From what I read about the test sent, it seems that the Mac can run games without any issues, especially since the test was done with an RTX 4080. I wanted to have a comparison with a 3060 or 3070.

The only drawback is the game catalog, where the gap is huge between Windows and Mac, which is why I'm interested to know if I can easily emulate Windows on Mac (with the new M2 chips)?

If you have any feedback on "instant gaming" on Mac, I'm interested, especially since my PC usage for gaming is only 20%.

No, no, the 4080 was not taken into account, only the iGPU graphics part of the Intel processor; it’s the raw power of the processors and graphics processors that has been compared. It's not very clear, I concede, but if you included a 4080 as well, then you’re comparing a R5 to a Ferrari....

Whether for one or the other, their integrated iGPU solutions are unsuitable for gaming; they absolutely require a dedicated video card in addition. The problem is that no laptop equipped with an i9 of this model exists without a dedicated graphics card since this type of hardware is specifically gaming-oriented.

What a shame to see that a €3000 computer can't run games.

I don't necessarily like Apple, but it was the one that suited me best for the purchase of a new PC.

OLED screen, solid chassis, doesn't overheat, breathtaking battery life, excellent sound for a laptop but graphically can’t run a game?!

I'm still having a hard time imagining that.

Yet I’ve read that this M2 chip is equivalent to a 3070 in terms of graphics...

There are hardly any Asus models that can compete with the Mac in terms of component quality (screen/sound/durability), but in terms of mobility, it's not great. (Battery life)
