HDMI ultra HD grayed out on Philips 55OLED887

Hello,

I just bought a Philips 55OLED887 TV which I connected to a PS5. When I try to enable VRR, it says that the TV is not compatible, even though the PS5 is connected to an HDMI 2.1 120Hz with an appropriate cable.

I read that I need to enable Ultra HD HDMI in the TV settings, but the tab is grayed out and I can't do anything. If anyone has an idea, I'm all ears ????

Thanks in advance ????

    Hello,

It seems there is a conflict between VRR and HDMI ULTRA HD

Excerpt from the television manual on page 39:

"Always make sure to disable the VRR function in the graphics card before setting the TV's HDMI Ultra HD to Optimal or Standard, selecting the Optimal or Standard TV user interface disables support for the
    TV's VRR function."

    The manual: https://www.download.p4c.philips.com/files/6/65oled887_12/65oled887_12_dfu_eng.pdf

Thank you for your response ^^

As for me, I have neither, I can't enable VRR on the PS5 as it indicates that the TV is not compatible, and I also don't have access to the ultra HD HDMI settings....

The lack of access to HDMI ULTRA HD is not the reason for the VRR selection on the PS5?

The television has 4 HDMI ports, including two 120HZ (HDMI1 and HDMI2); if you switch HDMI ports, does it make no difference?

I think it must be coming from there, in my opinion it's because the TV menu is grayed out that I don't have access to the VRR.

For the HDMI, I'm on 2 which is a 2.1 120Hz, 1 is eARC compatible so I have my soundbar connected to it, but I'll try plugging it into that one, you never know ^^
