Hello, I installed Opera Version:95.0.4635.37 on Linux Mageia via flatpak. It works very well but I can't get it to switch to French. I went to Menu --> settings --> browser --> Preferred languages --> Add language --> 1. French (France) then I closed and restarted Opera but it is still in English!!! Could someone help me?
Thank you for your responses.

Hello, thanks for your response, but on the link you gave me to download Opera in French, unless I'm mistaken, I only find a .exe which is for Windows while I'm on Linux Mageia. So I'm looking for a .rpm, I'll look better just in case ...

Hello,
Apparently the rpm is directly from Opera, I don't know in which language.

Hello.
Here is an excerpt from an article about Opera:
Apparent serious about respecting its users' privacy (VPN, ad and tracker blockers, automatic upgrades to HTTPS, tendency towards web decentralization), Opera is actually quite deceptive.
First of all, it is important to clarify that the VPN integrated into the browser is not really a VPN. The security of connections is only ensured by standard HTTPS/TLS encryption and not by a VPN protocol, making it merely a proxy using Google's DNS.
But the real problem concerns the collection, processing, and transfer of user data, as well as Opera's lack of transparency regarding these processes. From reading the browser's privacy policy, we learn that the company assigns each user a personal identifier linking their profile to their online activities, as well as to all of the Opera services they use. With usage statistics collection enabled by default, the company can easily create a very detailed and very lucrative profile of users' browsing habits and their use of Opera services.
The risks to personal data seem all the more significant since the Opera browser and its VPN belong to a Chinese private investment fund, a subject that the company is careful not to communicate about officially. As everyone knows, China is not a good ambassador for privacy and anonymity.
It's up to you to decide if you still want to use it.
Best regards.

Good evening,
Duno59, thank you for your response. In light of this article, I would tend to say that I may not use Opera as my browser. So after the critique, I like to go a bit further... Can you recommend one or more browsers that would be, if not perfect, let's say, uh... almost perfect? I have no shares in Opera, I'm just a bit tired of using Firefox and want to switch browsers. So if you can advise me, I'd appreciate your suggestions. Thank you and have a nice evening.
