Hello,
I've been using Opera GX for quite some time, and after completely resetting
my computer, I reinstalled it. However, when I close and reopen it, there’s the little animation.
I was wondering if it's possible to keep it running in the background so that
the browser opens directly without the animation (before I reset my PC,
I had the little animation only the first time I opened Opera GX after turning on my
PC).

Hello,
Animation on launching Opera GX:
Disable the animation on launching Opera GX:
Open Opera GX.
Go to settings (gear icon located on the left).
Or clear everything in the address bar and copy/paste --►
Click on --►Basic
To the right section --►GX
Scroll down a bit in the settings page until --►Startup screen
Next to Startup screen disable the highlighted box by moving the slider to the left.
Close Opera GX.
Restart Opera GX.
P.S.:
Disable Opera GX on startup if you wish.
It's the same section as for disabling the animation.
Or in the task manager in the Startup tab

Hello,
445 days later, I confirm that the launch animation of Opera GX is still the same.
And the option to disable the animation hasn’t changed either.
You can also go through the gearwheel (Settings) located on the left in the sidebar (it's the last icon at the bottom).
If the sidebar is not visible or missing:
In Opera GX , click on the 3 horizontal lines located at the top right.
(By hovering the mouse or trackpad over the 3 horizontal lines, known as Easy Setup).
Then scroll down to the section → Appearance
Enable the highlighted box → Show sidebar

Hello Pistouri,
I've had Opera for years, and for the past two days, the animation has been activated on startup following an update. I've tried to find the "startup screen" box to disable that super annoying animation every time I launch the browser (I mean, seriously, it's f***ing annoying).
Impossible to find it.
Even when launching the search in the "search a setting" bar at the top right: Opera doesn't know this setting. This option is not present in the sub-settings of the startup page, and I've searched everywhere else... Very strange.
I can't find what you have in the screenshot.
Do you have any idea about this?
Thanks anyway for your time and the advice you've already provided.
Hello,
Your screenshot shows the Opera browser.
The setting for the "start screen" box is in Opera GX.
See you+
