Hello,

Since today I have a problem with the EDGE browser: when I try to download an attachment from my orange emails (from the orange interface) nothing happens. I can't retrieve them locally. The same problem occurs when I reboot the computer.

I tested the same action under Firefox and it works.

What could be the cause of this?

Thanks in advance

Thank you, I followed your advice!

Actually, I used Outlook Express for a very long time (in the 2000s and a bit after, and I loved it), then I stopped for some obscure reason (at one point I had configuration issues and I couldn't really find my old version anymore; it was a more basic version that didn't suit me. Since then, I've always read my emails from the browser, but I like it less)

Anyway. I just installed Thunderbird, and I think I'm going to love it; I can already feel it. I indeed prefer reading my emails this way, thanks for the advice.

But my question still stands because I'm wondering why this bug with EDGE; it intrigues me (maybe a problem related to a Windows update?)

No, since you are not the first to have this problem with other browsers, I believe it is rather an extension in Edge that is causing the issue.

No, I haven't installed any extensions in Edge

I sometimes install them in Firefox, but I've left Edge as it is since I got the computer

Check with Orange; the problem may also come from their end. You can also repair or reset Edge, but frankly, I don’t see the point since you’re now using Thunderbird.

For your information, if you had issues with Thunderbird, there is also Blue Mail which works very well.
