Data merging on Mac

Hello,

I am trying to do a data merge on inDesign, but I keep getting the error message "At least one data placeholder tag is missing from the data source. Please check that all placeholder tags match the fields in the data source."
I get this message when I try to preview my data merge or create a merged document.
I am using a .txt file that uses tabs as separators, and although my ultimate goal is to include images, I am already trying with short text (1 number per line), just 2 or 3 lines, and a single column. Even with this setup, the error message appears! I am calling my data field in a text box in the most basic way. My .txt file and my INDD file are stored in the same folder, and it has no trouble finding it since it offers the correct tags in the Data Merge panel.

I have tried everything to find a solution, but I am at a loss... Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve my problem?

I am using macOS Ventura 13.1.

Thank you in advance and good evening

    Hello,

While rummaging after encountering the same issue, an English forum suggests creating a new indd file...

It worked for me with the same source file.

My settings: Excel 2021 / save as: CSV (macintosh) (separator: semicolon)

    If that can help...

    I don't use a MAC,...
On PC this error occurs if you have one too many or too few tab characters on a line of data..Or if the tab has no name
The first line must be the names of the merge fields
