PC frozen, unable to cut the message, I called the number, but while talking I quickly sensed the scam, I didn't want to buy the security pack, I hung up, since then I have this connect wise control, still present, how to remove it, and be sure not to have consequences following that phone call, and be sure of completely getting rid of this inappropriate control, should I have my PC cleaned by a professional

Thank you for helping me, help !!

Hello,

Boot your PC using the Power button 3 times to reach the Recovery Options, Advanced Options, Settings > Advanced Startup Options, to start in Safe Mode with Networking support.

(Well, the path may be different), but the important thing is to start in Safe Mode with Networking support.

(If you can't do anything else with your PC).

Then come back and let us know if you managed to get there, we will help you afterwards.

Hello.

Nothing new here, it’s a very well-known scam. Please read carefully THIS PAGE as everything is explained there..

What you've encountered is simply a web page giving you a phone number for a fake support service, so it's more of a scam than a real infection. If you call the number provided and do what the scammer on the line asks you to do, you'll get scammed out of a few hundred euros, and on top of that, they’ll install some useless fake software that they charge you an arm and a leg for. What they’re interested in is your money, not what's on your PC.

To reassure you:

Download FRST. Once downloaded, save it to your desktop, then right-click on FRST and choose Run as administrator. You will see this:

Click on Scan

Warning, wait for the messages indicating that the scan is complete.

At the end of the scan, you will have two text files on your desktop: FRST and Addition.

Then send the FRST and ADDITION reports to PJJOINT and see THIS TUTORIAL. Then provide the two links generated by PJJOINT in your response.
