Hello,
My friend's computer has a virus in the BIOS and I don't know how to remove it.
Could you please give me some advice to solve the problem?
If there is software to do this work, I would like to know it.
Thank you in advance, Claude

The BIOS is the first program that is launched when the computer starts.
It ensures the link between the hardware components and the operating system.

The BIOS is the very first piece of software that is executed when your computer is turned on, so it must be present for your computer to work. Without the BIOS, your PC is unusable.

The BIOS is stored in a special chip on the motherboard that retains its content even when the power is turned off. This is meant to ensure that the BIOS is always there when you need it.
Note: On many computers, the BIOS can be updated using software provided by the manufacturer. It can also be damaged by viruses such as W95/CIH-10xx, and damage can lead to an inability to start your PC. If the BIOS chip cannot be replaced (some BIOS chips are soldered onto the motherboard), you may even have to replace your motherboard.

If you think your BIOS has really been infected by a virus, I recommend flashing it.
