Black screen stuck after listening to an audio message or call

Hello, since the iOS 16.2 update and even the previous version, my phone's screen often freezes and stays black after listening to an audio message on the Messages app or during a phone call, and I have to force restart it to unlock it. I have this problem on my XR and now on my brand new 11 Pro Max... Thank you for your help.

    Hello,

If it's brand new, bring it back to where you bought it along with the receipt to activate the warranty.

But it will go back to normal after a while.

You also need to turn it off completely, especially at night; that's the only option while you're sleeping.

Thank you for your response, it seems that it might be due to the screen protector I had put on that might be blocking the proximity sensor, has this happened to anyone before?

      Hey,

Is it tempered glass or just a protective film?

I was quite skeptical, but at the moment I removed the tempered glass from the screen (which was indeed resting on that infamous sensor), it unlocked instantly and the bug has never occurred again...

It's better to have it installed by a professional, and they do it for free, so you take no risks.

If it works again without it, just put on a more practical film.
