"AMD has detected a driver timeout."

Hello everyone,

For the past week, my PC has been crashing for no reason when I launch a game or switch from windowed to full screen or vice versa.

After a more or less lengthy black screen, my game closes by itself, and a window titled "AMD Bug Report Tool" appears with the following message: "The AMD software has detected a driver timeout on your system."

Following this, I get a notification saying "AMD WattMan settings have been restored due to an unexpected system failure."

However, I recently updated my driver using DriversCloud. I would like to point out that I recently upgraded to Windows 11, and since then, I've been experiencing these recurring crashes.

I'll leave here my graphics card information as well as the version of the driver I'm using. If you need any more information, feel free to ask, and thank you in advance for your help.

    Download and install --> 7Zip 64 bits

    Download this driver --> AMD

    Right-click on the driver --> amd_vga_driver.zip
    Select --> 7Zip
    Choose --> extract to "amd_vga_driver\"

    Uninstall the card properly with DDU
    Follow this tutorial closely, step 2 --> Display Driver Uninstaller
    Restart the PC

    Go to Device Manager
    Right-click on the AMD card or (Standard VGA Card)
    Update driver
    Browse my computer for drivers
    Select from a list of drivers...
    Have Disk
    Browse
    Go to the unzipped driver folder --> amd_vga_driver
    Folder --> AMD Graphics Drivers
    Folder --> Packages
    Folder --> Drivers
    Folder --> Display
    Folder --> WT6A_INF
    Select the file --> U0382620.inf and OK.
    Restart.

      Hello, has your problem been solved? If so, with which manipulation? Because I have exactly the same issue. I've tried several DDU with and without restoring adrenaline, but the problems persist.

      Hello, yes, initially I reverted to Windows 10 (in addition to not being stable, 11 was causing me a lot of driver compatibility issues). I actually followed a tutorial that explains it very well; I'll leave you the link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAJ0qgIG35k&list=LL&index=5&t=755s

      Once on Windows 10, I used the DDU software (the person just above provided the direct link to the page on the site). You boot your computer in safe mode, launch DDU, then select AMD on the right, then GPU, and cleanly uninstall your drivers.

      Then you restart your PC to return to your "normal" desktop, and I recommend going directly to the AMD website to select your driver from the dropdown menus: https://www.amd.com/fr/support

      I just had to install the new driver, and since then I haven't had any problems :)

      (I also installed the "Driver Booster" software to be informed when one of my drivers is no longer at its latest version, but I haven't been using it long enough to guarantee its effectiveness)

      So I hope this helps you, and in case you don't want to or can't revert to Windows 10, the solution remains the same as long as you find a compatible driver. At the time I posted this question, the AMD site wasn't offering any compatible Windows 11 drivers for my card.

    It is not recommended to use sites like drivercloud.com that send malware.

    Device Manager

    Provides the hardware identification number of the AMD card
    Look at this --> Find the identification number of a device
    Post the number in your next message.
    Example image:

    Hello,

    install version 22.5.1, the next version has a bug on my 570, bsod/crash, that might be it.

    I also had this problem, it was my SSD that was failing, but I've seen on various topics that it can come from anything.
