I will illustrate my problem: I bought a Samsung laptop, the Galaxy Book 2, which prevents me from doing one thing since I changed from my old HP. The issue is that when I connect my iPhone to the USB port of my Samsung laptop, I do not benefit from a wired connection sharing, and this leads to moments where the connection drops and I have to reactivate it, ...

I would like, if you have a solution, to connect my iPhone 11 to my Samsung laptop and have a connection sharing activate automatically, just like when I was still using my HP.

In other words, you want to use the iPhone as a USB modem.

I can't give you a precise answer because I don't have an iPhone.

What I do know is that with an Android smartphone, it's not enough to just plug it into the computer to enable tethering. You also need to activate the USB modem on the smartphone for it to work. Otherwise, the smartphone can only charge or share files.

It may be the same for the iPhone, meaning there is probably a USB modem to activate. To be confirmed.

  • With the USB modem feature of your Apple iPhone 11, access the Internet from your computer easily.

You will need a USB cable and your computer to properly follow the instructions.

  • Go to the main screen.
  • Select Settings.
  • Scroll down.
  • Select Personal Hotspot.
  • Connect your Apple iPhone 11 to your computer using the USB cable.
  • Select an option, in this case Don't Allow.
  • Turn on Personal Hotspot.
