Hello,
I gave my son a computer and wanted to make sure everything was in order before the big day of the gift.
I logged into his computer with my personal credentials.
As a result, he ended up with all my pictures; when I change my wallpaper, it also changes on his PC.
Poor thing...
It must be really simple to fix, but I really don't understand why there's this connection between the two computers and how to stop it.
Thanks everyone.

Hello,
You have linked your account with your email address, otherwise known as the Microsoft account.
This allows for the synchronization not only of your images but also all your sites and passwords included.
To delete this account, which is logically the administrator, create a user account in your son's name (Local or connected account), and give him administrative rights.
Log out of your account and then go to his.
Delete your account.
Warning !!
Make sure that your son's account is an administrator.
Another solution. In the settings, you can reinstall your Windows 10 directly under his name or address.
Do you know all the procedures to carry out either solution?

Hello Jag72
Thank you for your quick response.
I am not familiar with the procedures for implementing either of these two solutions.
Could you please describe them to me?
Which one do you recommend?
If I delete my account on their computer, it won’t delete anything on mine, will it?
Thank you for your help.-
On your other computer, nothing will disappear even if these files are on OneDrive.
So do the following:
1 Start menu or notification icon
2 Settings
3 Accounts
4 Family & other users (Check Adult or Child)
5 Add a family member (or other user)
6 Microsoft account if they have an address or "I don't have this person's information"
Once added, go back to family and other users accounts and click on the recently created account
7 Change account type
set as administrator
8 Log out of your account and go to the new one.
Be careful not to forget the password and preferably write it down in a notebook.
Once on this new desktop, follow the procedure again and then select your account.
If the delete option is absent, choose to block it.
The PC will only have one session unless in cases of force majeure you resort to system restore.
While I think about it, check that this is active.
Open Explorer, right-click in an empty area of the window, then properties.
In the left pane ->> System Protection - >> Configure.
Check enable system protection.
All my knowledge is from memory and it is possible that I might have omitted something.
Feel free to come back and ask me questions in this eventuality.
It's your turn to play now.
Best regards.

Well then, first of all, successful handling, thank you very much, he is on a school trip this week and will be "so happy."
"From memory," congratulations to you because frankly, it was very clear.
... After that, for the little extra: While I think of it, check that this one is active. Open Explorer, in an empty spot on the window : I don't know where to find the Explorer in question...
If you have a few more minutes (but I think for you it's only seconds), I would appreciate the additional information ;)
In any case, thank you for your time and professionalism, it really helps, it's really nice that people like you give to people like me.
Have a good evening and thank you again! -
Here I am again.
The Explorer is the window where This PC will be located.
The hard drives will be displayed, the SD card ports, USB ports, and also the DVD drive if your machine has one.
Even when you open your documents, Windows Explorer is still running.
Or faster, Start menu and search for system restore.
But under no circumstances should you execute it since the PC is new.
Only the configuration of this security system.
Don't forget to create a startup repair disk and possibly back up the system on a USB of at least 16 GB.
