Icons disappear when the PC is connected to a second screen via HDMI.

Hello,

when I connect a second screen to my laptop via HDMI and restart my PC, the desktop icons disappear, and only the text that normally appears under the icons is visible. The taskbar icons are also replaced by a default icon.
If I disconnect the second screen and restart my laptop, the icons reappear.
Have you ever encountered this issue?

    Hello
    It's probably a refresh rate issue with your screen. Have you tried changing the resolution settings and also the Advanced display settings to adjust the properties of the video card for the second screen (depends on whether you are using 1 or 2 screens) to list the modes and potentially change the refresh rate for this screen...
