I want to desynchronize my two PCs.

Hello,
My laptop, which is already not very fast, is lagging or stuttering on startup... I think it's synchronizing (Windows or other applications) with my desktop PC which is working with the same Windows 10 account.
How can I separate the two and ensure that the laptop works independently from the other?
Thank you,

Hello,
I suppose you mean that you use the same Microsoft account on both computers. That's normal: you won't create as many addresses as you have computers.
I don't see at all how your computers can synchronize.
To me, that means they exchange data. For example, if you created a text file on one computer, you would find it on the other. Or if you downloaded something, the same downloaded file would be on the other computer.
There would need to be a program to monitor the activity and ensure this synchronization. I don't see which one could do that. The only synchronizations you can observe are those done by Google. These are synchronizations you have authorized, done in Google Drive: for example, contacts, browsing data (the websites you have visited), photos. These data, sent to Google Drive, are not systematically retrieved. They are retrieved when you need them.
Therefore, there is no time wasted on your computers for synchronization. The cause of the slowdowns is elsewhere.
To convince yourself, turn off one of the computers. You will see that nothing changes.
What is well thought out is expressed clearly,
And the words to say it come easily.

Hello,
There is indeed an item in the Windows settings that allows for precise synchronization of settings (but not the rest) between PCs, another that enables backup between 2 PCs, and a third that optimizes the distribution of updates between PCs, but most are not enabled by default and I do not see the relevance to the alleged behavior in any case.

Good evening Brucine, I am hurrying to reply just to say that I have duly noted this response and I will try to delve deeper later. I have been told on the other hand that it is inappropriate to think that this slowness is related to any need to synchronize with another PC on the same Windows account. I need to look into the settings, otherwise, I will clean with an antivirus. In any case, thank you very much.
