Hello everyone,

since this morning I can no longer start my computer. I have the error code indicated above and the following message: your PC could not start correctly. A required device is not connected or is inaccessible.

I am using Windows 10 64-bit.

Can someone help me? (I am not very skilled in computing, please take that into account in your response.)

Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much, Maxime. However, I’m being told about advanced options, but at this stage, I only have the list of startup parameters from F1 to F9.

    Can you help me again?

Hello and thank you for your explanation. My computer is a DELL 390 series. I tried to restart by pressing the Shift key, but I always return to the blue screen and RECOVERY with the error code 0xc0000225 and the message "A required device is not connected or is inaccessible." Below, I have two messages: "Press Enter to retry" (which brings me back to the same error message) and the other message "Press F8 to access boot options."

I believe I had a power cut before having this issue.

    re

I think you will need to reinstall W10...

Do you have any data to back up?

    Hello

Yes, I have data to back up. How can I do that considering the PC is stuck on the error?

I'm a bit surprised to see that you're the only one responding to me, and of course, I thank you for that.

I don't think you're the only one visiting this forum?

    Thanks again.

    hi

    test this:

when starting the pc, tap the F2 key (it's to access the Bios)

if you access it, check in the Boot tab if the HDD is set to "first boot/1st on boot"

let me know what it says

PS: I'm leaving at 12:50 for work

when I press the f2 key I see DELL INC OPTIPLEX 390

    then general settings

    System Logs

however, when I turn on my PC I see F12 boot options at the top right

    hi

look in the Boot Sequence box, if the "internal HDD" is first on the list

in the image (click on the image)

but when I turn on my pc I have F12 boot options at the top right

that’s the key to choose what you want to boot/start the pc

I'm going to do a "repair" test on my pc, and I’ll let you know how it goes

Hello, I looked at the boot sequence. I have set the floppy drive first, then the USB storage device, then the cd/dvd/cd-rw drive, then the onboard NIC and SATA HITACHI HDS723020BLE640, but I don't have "internat HDD".

It's a bit complex all this.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hello

I made 1 writing mistake, it's internal HDD

your hdd is this one ==> SATA HITACHI HDS723020BLE640

let me know if it's first in the Boot tab

PS: also check if you have a USB stick of 8GO (or more)

    See you later

Hello, first I have a diskette drive that is unchecked and next to it I have SATA HITACHI HDS723020BLE640 checked, below I have USB storage Device checked, then CD/DVD CD-RW Drive and Onboard, then in sixth place SATA HITACHI HDS723020BLE640.

I can uncheck the five checked ones and keep only: SATA HITACHI HDS723020BLE640 checked.

Then in Boot list Option, I have legacy checked and UEFI unchecked.

    I have a 16GB USB key.

It's a bit like Chinese to me but I see you're patient, thank you.

    No, leave what is checked

Then in Boot List Option, I have legacy checked and UEFI unchecked

    What year is your PC?

I think it is in MBR and not in UEFI

I will do a test on my PC and I'll be back

    Hello

I bought my PC in 04 2022 from Cdiscount and when I go to system information it tells me that the BIOS version is A14

    manufacture: 05092012

Do you need any more information?

      Hello.

You bought it in 04/2022 but it was probably second-hand or refurbished.

If it's probably an OptiPlex, it's a PC that was released in 2011. The BIOS A14 dates from 2018.

You are probably in MBR, unless someone has switched it to UEFI.

Would you be able to take screenshots of your BIOS (with a smartphone) and publish them here?

do you have a CD-ROM drive on the PC?

PS: let me know if you are available today and tomorrow to try to solve the problem with your PC
