Samsung TV burning smell and flickering screen

Hello,

First of all, thank you for your reading, time, and potential solution to my problem.

I have a Samsung television

model: LE32A456CED

While watching it, I noticed a burnt smell before later seeing a horizontal wave moving vertically.

I then realized that the smell was coming from the television, which I immediately turned off.

I no longer dare to turn it back on.

Thus, I would like to know if turning it back on poses a fire risk necessitating an imperative change of the television?

Or if there is a repair solution that is less costly than purchasing a new television if the fire risk is ruled out?

Or if there is another less expensive repair option than a purchase, in case of confirmed fire risk?

Thank you again for your reading and your time

    Hello.

    Avoid turning it back on.

The burnt smell could be a part of the circuit board burning. The power supply is a place that gets quite hot. Unplug the TV and inspect the power supply area. Send us a photo.
