TCL TV Video Player
Nikokio -
Hello,
I have a TCL 50AC710 TV.
A few days ago, I turned on the TV as usual to watch a series that I have on the external SSD, but the TV detects it with all the files on it, yet when I click on my selection, the movie/episode does not start! It’s stuck on a black screen.
I don't understand why the player reacts this way, so I started by formatting my SSD, then I factory reset my TV, but nothing has really changed; all the files available on the SSD remain on a black screen or in "loading" forever! Even after downloading VLC on the TV, it still doesn't read the files which are being detected just fine, but the SSD seems functional since it's detected properly and also worked very well before, plus the files play just fine on the PC... I remain very perplexed, if anyone has an idea!
Thank you all

I'll take a look, but it's surprising that the TV detects it without any problem with the files inside, but it can't read them; it seems like a bug or an issue with the player because I start it but it shows a black screen... However, it worked yesterday after restarting the TV several times, unplugging/replugging, etc... I will still check the cable.
Thank you.
It's an NTFS, but the SSD was working very well on the TV in 4K, etc., without any issues. In fact, even yesterday I disconnected it several times while trying to restart, and at one point, the TV player seemed to work because I was able to watch an episode that wasn't working 2 minutes earlier when I launched it (black screen as described above)! I really don't understand.
Check that the external SSD cable is not faulty?
