310W Power Supply for RTX 2060

Hello everyone,

I have had an RTX 2060 for a while now with a 310W power supply.

It's a gray PSU because I have a pre-built HP tower (HP Pavilion TG01), and I've made some modifications, such as changing the GPU (to a 2060) and the RAM (2x16GB 3200 MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX).

However, I've seen on several forums that they recommend having a 500W power supply; otherwise, it could damage certain components, but everything is running perfectly for me.

So I have a 310W power supply powering an EVGA RTX 2060 SC, a Ryzen 5 4600G, and 2 RAM sticks of 2x16GB 3200 MHz; only the power supply and motherboard are original from HP.

If someone could tell me what they think (whether this is dangerous for my components or if I can continue like this?)

    Hello,

Years ago, I personally overloaded a quality 400-watt power supply with a setup that required 550 watts. Three years later, it failed, showing early signs, meaning that sometimes the PC would crash. The power supply in question had all the protections, so there was no problem and the hardware wasn't damaged.

    Hello

    It's still pretty borderline...

That said, HP often uses specific power connectors, which really turns into a headache when you need to replace the power supply with a standard model...

Originally, I wanted to change my PSU...

So I have to change the motherboard as well (it's not a problem to change both)

But since it works for now, I can make that change later so I can change my type of RAM, my CPU...

Because for now, I find it unnecessary to change that right now
