Problem opening yahoomail

Hello,
since this morning, every other time I try to enter my password on Yahoo Mail, a window opens and tells me:
We are unable to process your request at this time
Please try again in 56 minutes
With Yahoo, all the topics that interest you are at your fingertips.
Yahoo Mail, local, national and international news, finance, sports, music, movies... Live life to the fullest while enjoying the Web.
And indeed, after the given delay, I can finally access my email inbox. What is the reason for this?

Hello,
once the message "We are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again" appears, go to the top right corner and click on "help", when the window opens go back to "yahoo mail" and repeat the process by entering your password. This is the only way, so far, that I have found to get back to my emails.

@mouhot: this method doesn't work for me (the displayed delay ["Please try in …"] might be their trick – attack, overload, control, maintenance?). Thank you.
* P.S. while testing via another browser, their waiting message appears as soon as I enter my username. When I immediately reconnect via my usual browser, my connection is restored. I had tried several times throughout the day. I now wonder if their timer is actually blocking. I haven't tested a connection via a desktop internet client. Unlisted instabilities with very variable duration, in my opinion. Trying often might work in these cases (** indeed).

I see here that there was a bug on September 5th (with the same type of message you indicated): https://www.totalbug.com/yahoo-mail/ It’s probably related...
We have to wait, it should return to normal by itself...

SAME: error message (indeterminate) then "We are unable to process your request at this time" (and 1-hour timer), all day on March 1, 2023, only on the web version (app OK). Very limiting by removing the advanced features of this webmail. Email client not yet tested to try to connect to it.

I have been experiencing the same issue for about a month. Every time (or almost) I open my Yahoo mail, I get this message: "We are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again" (followed by a duration that varies from 60 seconds to 1 minute).
Sometimes it's completely random: I'm told to wait 45 minutes, but if I try again 10 minutes later, the message is gone and it works! Other times it still doesn't work even an hour later...
I tried restarting my computer, but to no avail.
What can I do?

I've been having the same problem for 2 days now... Do we know the cause? So that we can avoid it happening again (if it's our fault).
To work around the issue, I open my Yahoo on another browser, but I would prefer to stay on Firefox...
