How to change country on my Vinted account

Good evening! I would like to change my location (my country) on my Vinted account because my account profile shows my location as the United States while I live in France!

I think I made a mistake when creating my Vinted account, instead of choosing France, I chose the United States (even though I don't remember choosing the United States as my country).

I contacted Vinted customer service to ask them to change the country for me, but they told me they couldn't. They advised me to delete my account and create a new one, which I don't want to do because if I delete my account and create a new one, I can't because a phone number is required to sign up.

Having only one number and no longer living with my parents (I can't use their phone number because we no longer speak), I won't be able to use the same number to create a second account. I tried, but I receive the following message: "Phone numbers can only be used once. Please try another."

So I prefer to keep this account open. My question is, will French buyers in France be able to see my items even if I am located in the United States?

Should I add to my profile description that I live in France?

Hello! Sorry for the late reply. I contacted customer service. They told me that I need to delete my account and create a new one.

To be honest, they’re not very competent! I'm sure they could have modified my country (my address).

Anyway, I had saved the link to the form to contact customer service, but since I deleted my account, I no longer have access to that page because you need to log in.

So you'll need to delete your account and create a new one with a new phone number. You can ask a friend or family member, or else you'll need to change your phone number.

Sorry for not being more helpful.

Hello

You might have been using a VPN, active even if you didn't pay attention when creating the account.

This can happen with certain antivirus programs, among other causes.

/!\ This could cause you problems with online payments later on.

Even if French customers see the items, I don't know if you might run into issues getting paid or otherwise, if Vintage advises you to... they are the most capable of understanding the situation and helping you manage your profile in your best interest. That's it for this site.

.

For your bank account and/or online payments, you should contact them very quickly if you haven't already, to continue accessing your bank account and managing your card without issues following your address change and loss of access to the phone numbers or mail at your old address, and the small mistake of having created an online account from abroad using a VPN seems even more important than Vintage. That's it for the payments part.

.

In case of serious difficulties during an address change, which can happen, there are mutual aid associations that can assist you with all your steps or even provide you with an address if necessary to get through this phase. That's it for the part about "address or location change" in general.

Good luck.

Another option is to change the home address in the delivery settings, still within the parameters.

If nothing still happens, it may be necessary to change the email and/or phone number in the account settings.

And if you are still stuck, contact the moderation team. Sometimes, it takes several attempts to get things moving; eventually, they will intervene out of frustration.

Best regards.

Hello, how do we contact moderation please? I’ve done all the manipulations but nothing changes.

I have the same issue, I am in Germany for my studies and I can't change my address. Previously, I was in Belgium, I was there in July, I didn’t have any problems.

I have exactly the same problem... until last spring I could change countries with 3 clicks to have my orders delivered in France (to relatives) or in Germany (where I live). Since this summer, it's impossible to change. I keep getting the message "For the moment, it is not possible to change the country."

Hello,

I know your message is a bit dated and I’m not sure if I’ll get a response, but I'm leaving for abroad (Romania) at the end of September. I regularly buy and sell on Vinted, so I was wondering if it’s possible to change the country and address easily again in order to send and receive packages without having to create a new account? Vinted told me that I would have to delete the old account and create a new one, and apparently, I also need a local phone number depending on the country... it's really not that simple considering I will be returning every vacation...

Thank you in advance

No, it doesn't work.

When I click on my avatar > settings > change country, I get the following error message: "It is currently not possible to change the country."

I have tried several times but I keep getting the above error message.

I don't think it's a bug, so I can't change my country.
