Chromecast Remote Light Stays On

Hello

The white light remains steady on the remote control for my Chromecast with Google TV. No action is possible. I tried this: removing the batteries, holding down the home button while reinserting the batteries, waiting for it to blink. The problem is that it doesn't blink; the light stays steady. What other solutions are there?

    Step 1: Press the button on the back of the Chromecast and it will enter pairing mode on the device – showing up on your TV screen.

    Step 2: Then press and hold the remote. Press the back and home buttons simultaneously and do not release until you see the LED light at the bottom of the remote.

    Step 3: When you see the light, press the home button on the remote. The remote should now be paired.
