Hello, I am exactly in the same situation when I turn on my PC, I also have this message: CMOS checksum error. The CMOS will reset to its default configuration and the computer will restart. Then, please check the BIOS configuration options to see if they change.
CMOS Reset (502)
Enter - restart the computer

That's all well and good, but this site is in English!!!
If anyone can help me remove this message (which disappears after a while), they are welcome.
Thanks in any case.
Best regards

Good evening,
500, 501, 502 CMOS or BIOS Error
-
If the PC starts on the Windows desktop, download and install the latest version of the BIOS for the computer.
-
If the PC does not start on the Windows desktop, use a USB recovery drive to restore the BIOS.
-
If restoring the BIOS does not work, contact HP.
Visit HP Computers - A 500, 501, 502 error appears on a black screen for assistance.
CMOS Reset (502) The CMOS checksum is invalid...

Hello
A big thank you!! I finally got help!!! It wasn't an easy task, considering my "advanced" age!
Thanks again for your availability towards those who weren't born in the computer age... but were born during the war!!!
Have a nice day
