Good evening, since I installed an application I have a virus called altruistic that I haven't been able to get rid of using Windows Defender, Malwarebytes, the registry software (regedit), or by deleting the folder because the application restarts instantly after I close it.

What should I do?

    Hello,

You can analyze for viruses or harmful programs with RegRun Reanimator.

    https://greatis.com/security/reanimator.html

It's important to carefully sort, using research and deductions and/or VirusTotal analyses to only delete viruses or unnecessary things, because it detects everything and anything, good or bad, important or not; it's not an "antivirus" with a large virus database but rather an analysis tool that allows you to see technical details that aren't easy to view without it or that can hide from the average user's view.

It clearly shows details like file names and locations, which can serve as clues for the knowledgeable.

Whether it's marked in red, yellow, blue, or green, it's the user who must judge the relevance of what it detects.

If it doesn't detect enough, you can use Inspection Mode to see everything.

The VirusTotal Uploader program *Download the App here*

    https://support.virustotal.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002179065-Desktop-Apps

For (A file) > Send to > Virustotal

To get results in addition to the details tab to see if the file is signed and verified or not, from VirusTotal analyses (by about sixty antivirus programs) of the file.

You can use the Reupload option to obtain a new analysis of the file in case of a very recently analyzed file.

Then according to a tutorial I saw on Youtube, you need to reset your browsers in safe mode right after removing the miner...

Thank you very much for all your responses; I managed to remove the virus thanks to another hard drive (I booted from the other hard drive and deleted the virus using another disk with Windows installed, then I located the virus and deleted it).

    Thank you.

Have a great end of the day.

Hello, I followed exactly everything you recommend but nothing works, I still can't delete it, I don't understand anything, and I don't want to do more because I'm afraid of messing things up and breaking everything. Would it be possible to get some help over the phone or another way, please?

    Just for your information,

You can also analyze offline with Reanimator.

Install Malwarebytes, it's a free antivirus and you have a 14-day free premium trial. You run a scan and it will put all detected viruses in quarantine. Then I deleted what was left, usually the application itself. After uninstalling, I ran a scan just in case and it was good. I don't know if you resolved the problem today because it's been several months already.
