I recently recovered two old Mission speakers, which I would like to connect to my laptop; I also have an amplifier. My question is:

Do we need a sound card to connect the amplifier and the computer?

Thanks in advance.

Everything must work without any issue.

Use RCA CD or Tape inputs with a 3.5mm jack/RCA cable

Very hard to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when there isn't one there...

    Hi,

Your Jack 3.5mm output is an audio card output.

So you need at minimum a Stereo Jack to RCA cable. (Stereo Jack 3.5 to RCA)

    Hello,

What are the references (Brand and model) of the amplifier
Which model are these speakers and what is their impedance (ohmic value)?

Ideally not necessary to have a sound card, computers have an audio output that an amp can use..

the speakers are Mission 761 with an 8-ohm impedance, and for the amplifier it is the stereo receiver Harman/Kardon HK3300.
