Nintendo Switch Ethernet connection not working

Hello,

I want to connect my Nintendo Switch via cable, but I'm having trouble. I have a Livebox 5 with an ethernet cable going into a switch. The switch is connected to a TV and to the console with a USB to ethernet adapter.

The switch works, I have Internet on the TV, and the USB to ethernet adapter also works, because when I plug it into a PC from the switch, I have Internet on that as well.

The problem is when I connect the adapter to the console in the designated USB port, I go to the console's internet settings to establish a wired connection and there, I get an error "Connection failed."

Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

    Hello,

    it's likely that the USB adapter is not recognized by your console.

    and ... There you go!
    But goodness, those line spacings are so annoying!!
