Half white half black screen

Hello,

The screen of my TV is half white and half black.

Yesterday it was working very well.

I have sound.

It's a Samsung.

What do you think?

    Hello,

    Before it broke down, everything was working fine, it’s always like that. It’s not a good sign... it looks like the backlight is not working on half of the screen... But you also have no image on the other half, which is supposed to be healthy..!

    We should at least know the exact model of this Samsung that produces thousands of them. And how old is it?? Under warranty or not..?

    Now, if they tell you that you need to disassemble the screen to change the LEDs... What will you do..??

    Doing a solder or changing a component is not a problem for me if I have a tutorial that tells me what to change

    It's my son's TV

    I'm checking with him about the model

    He bought it second-hand so the age is hard to determine

    Do you think it could have come from a surge it experienced a few days ago?

    Yes, it's a possibility... a misplaced shock can cut the connections of the slab/screen
