Air conditioning makes internet lag.

Hello,

I live in a house where I don’t have fiber.

Currently with a Freebox, it is more than sufficient to play online on a computer or PS4, for example.

Recently, I had air conditioning installed at home.

Since then, when I turn on the air conditioning in the living room, the internet connection experiences major ping problems, which completely prevent me from playing online.

I should note that this only happens with the living room air conditioner. No issue with the bedroom and conservatory units.

I should also note that the air conditioner is not a smart AC, so it is not connected to the WiFi network.

I’ve been looking for several days, and I don’t understand. And the installer doesn’t either.

I tried changing the outlet box as well; same problem.

Could this be a problem with electrical interference? Hard to tell.

Do you have any idea who could intervene in this kind of situation?

Thank you in advance, hoping that someone has already faced such a problem. Because no matter how much I search on the internet, there is no forum about this.

Have a good day everyone

Julien

    Hello,

do you use powerline modem (CPL modems)?

Does your telephone line pass near this air conditioner or its electrical cable?

    Hi,

      Hello

I have an issue that seems similar

As soon as I turn on my air conditioning, my CPL Magic turns red

How to manage this issue please

You noted in a post that the PLC is daubed/garbage – what does that mean?

      Thank you

        Hi,

it’s daubed, that means not reliable in this case.

As soon as you can, replace your powerline adapters with a real ethernet cable instead.

or a wifi mesh network, reliability will be better there.

In my opinion, there is only one competent electrician who could find the origin of this anomaly. I think it could be a drop in voltage or current on your circuit, hence a balancing of the lines; to test with a large household appliance such as an oven or a washing machine, which are high consumers, if the same problem occurs.

To know this, the author of the post would have had to respond politely to the proposals that were made to him, which he did not do; many people ask questions and then nothing more, this kind of attitude does not encourage answering because it is a waste of time.

Look at the leads given by Brupala and Dadout.

As Glandu says, this problem is an electrical problem, you can also ask this question in this forum .

      Hello

Did you find a solution for the air conditioning that cuts the powerline connection?

As already mentioned, it’s an issue of disturbances on your home’s electrical network caused by the air conditioning, see this with an electrician or post your question in this forum, or forget the PLC and connect your PC directly to the router with Ethernet.
