No internet connection after formatting Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

I have a huge problem regarding the internet.
I just formatted a Dell computer and now it doesn't recognize any network connection. This means that when I go to network connections in the control panel, I can't find any of the default connections. However, my modem is working perfectly since other PCs connected via Wi-Fi are functioning correctly.
I don't know what to do anymore. Moreover, I have reinstalled all the drivers from the installation CD several times without success.

Does anyone have any answers... PLEASE!!!

I formatted my desktop computer, a custom-built one from a computer shop that has closed. I reformatted it because it was shutting down with a blue screen when I was online unexpectedly. Since the format, I have lost sound and I can no longer connect to the internet, even though my SFR modem works via Wi-Fi with my laptop. I don't have any driver CDs, except for Windows XP. What should I do? Should I seek help from a computer professional? How much would that cost? Thank you for your help.

If it's about installing the modem with the provider's CD, I've already done that.
In fact, it seems more complicated than that.
I have none of the connections, like local area connection, high-speed connection, or 1394!!!

Regarding kiwi Yes, I was indeed talking about the installation with the ISP's CD. So, if that's done, then it's not that. If you have also reinstalled the driver for your network card, I'm stuck!

Hi, I had the same problem with a Dell laptop,
Have you installed all the drivers for your PC? If you don't have a CD (like me), go to the Dell website and with your PC's serial number, you will find the drivers.

Hello everyone
My problem is that I no longer have a connection even though all my internet features are working. Everything indicates that the connection is good, but as soon as I try to connect, it shows me:
"unable to display the page" as if I had no connection while all the systems are okay.
This happened after an unexpected format
PS: It's a desktop PC and not a laptop.

Hello,  I bought a laptop after getting Mcafee as an antivirus. Since uninstalling Mcafee, I can no longer connect to the internet.  Thank you for your help.

Hello,
after formatting my computer, I had almost the same problem; however, it connects for a few minutes and then disconnects, but when I try to connect a second time, it's impossible as the login window doesn’t appear. I have to turn off my computer to reconnect. I want to specify that I manually established the connection and that I have a Dell desktop computer. How can I resolve my issue?

Kiwi, have you resolved your issue? Because I have the exact same problem and I can't figure it out.
After formatting my PC, I no longer have an internet connection; I've tried following all the tutorials online but nothing works. When I attempt to connect to the internet, I always get the error 769 "the specified destination is not reachable."
I have a Livebox (with Orange).

If someone could help me, that would be really nice.

I had the problem with the Livebox; after reinstalling Windows XP, I couldn't reinstall the internet and the Livebox. I also had a sound issue (no sound driver), and while trying to fix that problem, I accidentally came across a window called "Device Manager." In that window, I reinstalled the graphics card, and the internet came back. I was finally able to reinstall my Livebox!
