L'ISO file won't open.

Hello,
my partner bought a new MacBook Air today.
She just downloaded an Office pack that arrives in ISO format once downloaded, but we can't open this file. I tried using Disk Utility and the Terminal but nothing works. Does anyone have a solution to suggest, please?

Office for Mac cannot "arrive in ISO format." If that’s the case, it means it’s a version for Windows, which is unusable on macOS. Or it could be a pirated version downloaded from a questionable site, in which case we won’t even discuss it.

Office for Mac is only offered in .pkg format (or in some cases .dmg) and is available on the Microsoft website, for example on this page.

Hello,

You can always mount the image via Disk Utility - open the disk image.

But the standard format for the Office suite for Mac is not ISO but PKG, especially since Office has a specific version for Mac that is not the Windows version.
