Hello,

Following a system update on my Android, the number for my Syma messaging center has disappeared.

Could someone please provide it to me?

For your information, Syma just replied to me on Twitter: Hello, the messaging center number (SMSC) is +33689004000.

The customer service is open Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM. They do not respond on Twitter and with my luck they will take a long weekend and I won't be able to reach them until Wednesday.
I considered all the options before coming to post.

Don't you have access to their website? It's the kind of information you find in a FAQ or in tutorials.

No FAQs. They have a good tutorial for network settings but nothing for the messaging center number.

Note that many sites contain a lot of useful information but are arranged in corners that common logic struggles to imagine.

Yes, I'm with Syma, until tomorrow, I'm leaving for Choche.
What do you mean by messaging number? The APN for mobile data?
You can find that information on their website and you can configure it automatically via SMS if I remember correctly.

Yes, that's good.
Often the messaging center number (also called smsc) can be found in your messaging app / settings / advanced settings / smsc or phone number (it depends on the brand of the phone) and there you may find a number different from yours.
The smsc is the intermediary between two people sending messages, if you don't have it you're stuck.
Could you please take a look?

I have two SMS apps, the default Android one and Qksms, and neither of them has advanced settings or your story about smsc.

Without understanding anything. When I switched from SFR to Free, I had to find this SMSC and how to inform my Nokia about it. I managed with the Free website and the Nokia user forum...

In my basic Android app, it's like this: settings / advanced settings / phone number.

I know how to inform my phone about it. It's the number I'm missing.

I'm sure you must have looked and that you didn't find anything either. It's a bit more complicated than just going on the website.
