Hello,
I recently got a SAMSUNG GALAXY A22 smartphone. However, for the past few days, I haven’t been receiving any calls.
I have tried calling myself from a landline and from another mobile: 4-5 rings followed by a busy tone. The calls are not being redirected to voicemail. Could I have made an incorrect manipulation or something else? What should I do?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards, JPV

Hello
You might want to check if you accidentally disabled the reception of calls...
Open "Phone" on your Samsung (green phone icon), then the 3 dots at the top right, then Settings...
Make sure "Caller ID and Spam Protection" is disabled.
Check "Call Alert and Ringtone", then ensure "Vibration and Ringtone" is active, and check "Ringtone" to make sure the sound is okay.
Go back with the left arrow <
Check "Additional Services" to ensure "Call Forwarding" and "Call Restriction" are inactive, and also check that "Call Signal" is active.
Exit "Phone"
Perform a soft restart (just in case) by holding the power button and tapping "Restart" twice
Test.

Hello
No, I don't see...
The simplest thing would be:
1) test the SIM in another phone to check the subscription and another SIM in your smartphone to test it (a friend's or a cheap prepaid one, for example)!
If it's indeed the Samsung that's acting up...
2) make a backup (Samsung Cloud and/or Google Drive) in settings, Accounts and Backup, then perform a factory reset of the Samsung in Settings, Global Management, Reset
See you later. -
Hello,
Thank you very much for your help; I had already done the manipulations, however, "just in case," I repeated them following your suggestions.
The different points were compliant:
"Incoming Call ID and Spam Protection": DISABLED,
"Call Alerts and Ringtone" and "Vibrate and Ringtone": ENABLED,
"Ringtone": the sound is OK.
In the Additional Services:
"Call Forwarding and Call Restriction": INACTIVE,
"Call Signal": ACTIVE.
I performed a Full Restart and the test was UNSUCCESSFUL (the phenomenon persists!).
Questions I have:
Can the plan manager block the line without informing me? I don't believe it much!
Can a "hacker (?)" remotely take control of the smartphone, without my consent of course, to use the line for their benefit and thereby prevent me from using it?
Best regards,
