AMD Radeon: change graphics card priority

Hello,

Here’s my issue: my computer is equipped with the AMD Radeon RX 5500 graphics card as well as the AMD Radeon (TM) Graphics.

However, I've noticed that my Steam games are not utilizing the actual graphics card but the other one, the second one: I checked with the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin and indeed, 0% is being used. Being on Windows 10 (updated), I looked into how to switch between the two cards but recent versions no longer seem to allow switching in the settings under graphics. Additionally, I notice that in this software, I am unable to select the “custom” profile (it is grayed out compared to the others) which could allow me to choose the desired card?
My games used to run without problems and all of a sudden, the graphics have become mediocre. All my drivers are up to date, after several checks.

I also know that in the Windows settings - displays and graphics, it’s possible to select the desired graphics card by application, but Steam games being considered as internet shortcuts do not appear in the editable list.

My games are unplayable whereas until now everything was perfect: how can I change this order?
Thank you in advance.

Is it a laptop or a desktop?

It's a desktop PC, it's only 6 months old.

Then give more information about your PC. In principle, when there is a dedicated GPU, the IGP (AMD Radeon (TM) Graphics) is disabled by the BIOS to save resources. The IGP cannot therefore be used. What is your monitor connected to? The motherboard or the GPU?

So, I have to admit that I don't know much about computers: here is my tower

connected to a screen via HDMI cable, but I wouldn't be able to help you any further... How can I find out what the screen is connected to?
Yes, I understand what you're saying: but then how is it that everything worked perfectly before while today it is no longer the case if the IGP is supposed to have been disabled all along?

It's difficult. I can't find an image of the back of the PC to show you where the HDMI of the GPU and the HDMI of the motherboard are located. We can reactivate the IGP by going into the BIOS. In any case, it's in laptops that we can automatically switch from the IGP to the dedicated GPU.

"But how is it that everything was working perfectly before while today it's no longer the case if the IGP is supposed to have been disabled all along?".

This could be a driver issue. Go to the Device Manager, expand the Display adapters category, and post a screenshot of that section.

Here is the device manager.
I looked at the back of the PC and changed the connection: I think it was plugged into the motherboard rather than the graphics card because after that, the graphics came back clear and there were no more anomalies.

Thank you for your responses!

Indeed, there doesn't seem to be a driver problem.
