Hello,
I'll explain the situation:
I have been using the same desktop PC since 2013, with the same graphics card which is an AMD Radeon R7 200 Series. I willingly accept that this graphics card has severely limited performance due to its age. In 2021, I updated the graphics driver (driver version: 27.20.15003.1004) hoping to play Star Wars Battlefront on my PC. As you might guess, it was a failure; the game ran painfully slow. It was truly unplayable. I came to the realization that the game was not suitable for my PC, as it is too old and the graphics card falls into the same category.
Other issues: when I started playing Rocket League that same year, my PC would frequently show a "black screen" after a loud activation of the fans. It was a hassle, but after restarting my PC, the black screen would not appear again. However, the fans still made an alarming noise.
Today, I wanted to play Fall Guys, but my PC consistently goes black during the second game, completely preventing me from playing.
Moreover, I've noticed a significant slowdown in my PC for all loading and launching of software, which wasn't present initially, for almost a year now.
Beyond my amateur skills in computing, all these factors lead me to think that my PC and its components are old (almost obsolete) and that it is time to change PCs. However, the burden of buying a new PC really annoys me.
Do you find my situation surprising? I have no precise idea of the performance and operations I can expect with a PC of this type and this age. Would you advise me to change certain components? If so, which ones would be the most important to replace? And above all: Is there any way to optimize the performance of my computer (which is almost 10 years old, I remind you) to play Fall Guys (a game from 2020) without changing components, or is it a lost cause?

What processor do you have?
Because Star Wars Battlefront is resource-intensive on the CPU, that's where the game was really penalized.
However, given the age of the entire setup, improving it isn't going to yield spectacular results...
It's better to avoid investing in new parts for it.
Second-hand, depending on the motherboard upgrade possibilities, consider putting in a more powerful CPU, or even changing the graphics card. If Windows is on a mechanical drive, replace it with an SSD by cloning it.
Another option: keep the money and start fresh with 100% new....

Hello,
My processor is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU 3.20GHz. I have no idea what that’s worth.
Honestly, it’s too bad for Battlefront. What really annoys me is not being able to play two games in a row on Fall Guys.
I’m considering going for a completely new setup at first glance.
