My computer is locked even though I know the password.

Hello, after entering the wrong password to log into my computer, it asks me to write the phrase "A1B2C3" and then asks for my password again, which I have now retrieved, but I get an error message (see attachment).
Can you help me because it is supposed to unlock after 2 hours, but the message appears every time.
Best regards

Thank you for your reply, but I don't have any other connection options and that's the problem; I don't have a password option... Unless I'm unaware of how to access it, but I have sent you the only interfaces I have access to.

It is clearly stated: Another connection method under the window or two different small drawings.
By clicking on either one, you switch to password or PIN code.

Remember that the first connection of your PC was by password and that subsequently an optional code was requested.

    Hello,

Since you have blocked your confidential code, reconnect to your desktop using the password option and that should solve the problem.

Unless you have forgotten the PC password since then. :/

I see which option you are talking about, but it is really not present in the photos I sent you, and I don't know how to make it appear...

I will log out to take a photo for you, but it would be surprising if your Windows works differently.

I have a desktop computer and I don't have the option on it either, so I think I only have a connection option. But the problem is the final error message that says that after 2 hours I can try again and it doesn't work. Moreover, I don't understand why it asks me for my PIN when entering it always results in an error message, even though it is correct...

Mine is also an office one.

I don't think the difference comes from the hardware, but rather from the program design, because although Windows is Windows, each brand adds its own twist.

Thank you for taking the time, but I don't have any login options, so it doesn't get unlocked—that's the problem, isn't it?

What if you proceed like with a laptop by unplugging it from the power source and turning it on to drain its electrical charge, and then restart it while plugged in?

Otherwise, I'll hand it over for a possible safe mode startup.
I'm having difficulty doing it myself on W10. :/

How many attempts do we get before being locked out for 2 hours?
I'd like to run a test tomorrow and wait for the delay to try the code before the pass.

I don't know, but even after waiting for 2 hours, it's the same problem, a bit of a hassle.

      I just took a test.
After the complete lockout, I'm asked to restart.
I logged in with the password and upon logging out, I found the message again.
One restart later, here I am with the code.
So try it after the 2 hours of "punishment".
Restart the PC before entering your code again.

For me, this is the last solution to explore.

      Hello.
Try it. Don't put anything, no password or code, and validate on the arrow.

Yeah, I saw it last night. I tried, but anyway I don't have the arrow. You can see in the photos even if they are blurry.

    Hello,

I found this video on the internet.
It will undoubtedly be very useful to you. The only thing you will need is the Windows ISO image.

      Hello,
thank you very much for the feedback, I watched the video but I'm not sure I can recover my data, that's what matters to me. Moreover, I now know the password for my computer, it is just blocked and doesn't unlock which is very suspicious...

I finally tried but it doesn't change anything, still the same bug. I know the password now so it doesn't matter whether I change it or not, the session is locked...
