Hello!
Here is my problem, I want to update my PC, but the issue is that Windows Update has this endless loading screen: https://imgur.com/a/zT2xB3I
There is a small pink bar that keeps loading and that's it.
Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance! :)

To perform the major update, use the tool to create a USB key with a minimum of 8GB.
Windows 11 if compatible, you can check with WhyNotWin11
https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11/releases
Windows 10 https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows10/
Windows 11 https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows11
If you already have the Windows ISO file, which you can also download with the tool or the link, you can create your USB key with Rufus
If the PC is old, create the key in MBR mode
If it is recent (Windows 8 or higher) in GPT mode > For Windows 11 GPT
Uninstall all installed antivirus or firewall and restart
Click on setup.exe in the USB key.
There is a way without a USB key, but if it crashes, you won't have a lifebuoy.

If you ever need to reinstall from scratch, start from the Boot Menu of the PC
https://www.malekal.com/liste-touches-acces-bios-boot-menu-constructeur/
If you don't see it, you can search Google for "[Brand Model] Boot Menu Key"
Choose "Custom installation" (Not upgrade)
No need to format if there is space; if there is data, it will be in a Windows.old folder
Install on the same partition, or alternatively, delete all system partitions and create a new one (This will delete the data). -
Hello,
Windows 10 is not up to date.
To update it to version 21H2:
Download this -->> MediaCreationTool21H2 <<--
Run it
Check --> Upgrade this PC now
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Afterwards, check if Windows 11 is compatible, you can see with WhyNotWin11 that fabul gave you as a link.

Humans are at their best when things are at their worst.-
I just did it and I got an error message saying "Windows 10 installation failed" when I had chosen to upgrade it.
- It might be your antivirus that is blocking it, so uninstalling it may help.
Otherwise, read the last paragraph here to do a clean installation (from scratch).

I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to do.
Do I need to download the update and put it on the USB stick? And then what? How do I create my USB in GPT mode?-
You need to download the Windows Media Creation Tool to create a Windows installation USB drive.
If you choose For THIS PC, it should select the correct mode, so GPT.
Otherwise, the Rufus tool can create it from the Windows DVD disk image in ISO file format (which can also be downloaded one way or another), using the Media Creation Tool or from the page, depending.

Hello,
Delete everything in the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
Then restart Windows.
Then let us know if your version is 21H2?
With Run (Windows + R): WINVER
