Hello,
For a long time, I believed that HP was one of the best brands, serious and profitable.
I bought my new printer, and I wanted to try Instant Ink, which many praise. It turns out that this system provides you with cartridges when it detects that the ink is reaching a low level. However, the plans allow you a limited number of copies, and even if your cartridges are full, they will be blocked and you cannot print anymore, since in addition you can only use original HP cartridges, and all other cheaper cartridges are automatically blocked.
It's a blatant scam to force customers to only use their consumables.
Honestly, I think if I could get rid of this printer, with which I feel compelled to calculate when and how much I can use my machine to avoid being blocked. It cost me €90. Because no one knows in advance when and how many copies they will need in a given period.
And I won't mention the number of printed sheets, for your information, often it’s the same information that comes out, which is counted against your plan.
Additionally, the connection is often lost, which blocks everything, and the printer must remain on and the ink level must be "detected."
People who are thrilled with this system print a few pages from time to time and find the system extraordinary.
Personally, I advise avoiding this brand from now on.
But in the meantime, does anyone have a solution to escape this blockage?
Thank you.

Hello. For me, it's the opposite. The HP Envy Photo 7134 (October 2020) says the black ink cartridge is still half full, yet when I print, not all lines are printed! And it's impossible to contact HP (at least from Belgium): no email, no phone. And on the HP community forum (in English!! Even though it can be translated into French, the correspondents are from the USA, GB…), they tell you to use the virtual agent in HP support and to indicate "where is the ink" etc. etc. Except the virtual agent of your HP support just leads you around in circles and you end up with no solutions! A scam! A real scam! My previous HP (Envy 7130, 2018-2020) was returned under warranty after 18 months for the same problem: the printer indicates there's half the ink left but you can no longer print correctly! So you buy cartridges after cartridges! Only to find out that these cartridges that are supposed to print 200 pages print 100 correctly if you're lucky (most often 50!). When I think that I had an HP 750 PSC that worked for 16 years without problems (2002 to 2018!)!!!
