Hello,
Could you please provide me with explanations regarding the properties information of a Word file saved in the shared folder on the server below?
Right-click on the file and then Properties, I have the data below:
1. In General:
Created on: 10/08/2021 13:13
Modified on: 20/04/2021 16:30
Last accessed on: Today 20 March 2022 14:05:30
2. In Details
a) Origin:
Last saved by: ToTo
Content created 20/04/2021 16:30
Date of last save 20/04/2021 16:30
Last printed 20/06/2019 10:12
Total editing time 00:00:00
b) File
Size 35KB
Creation date 10/08/2021 13:13
Modified on 20/04/2021 16:30
Access date 20/02/2022 17:45
Available online only
1) What is the difference between creation date, content created, and last saved date?
2) I do not understand why the creation date is more recent than the modification date.
For your information: on 10/08/2021 the file was cut from the folder on the server and then pasted onto the PC, and then it was copied and pasted back into the folder on the server.
3) For the last saved date, it has changed but I haven't changed anything and I don't notice any changes in the file!! Maybe after consulting and closing the file?
4) What is access date? Is it the date when the file was consulted (opened)?
5) What does Last accessed on mean?
6) Is it possible for someone to modify the name in (Last saved by: ToTo) and the Date of last save 20/04/2021 16:30?
7) What does Total editing time 00:00:00 mean?
Thank you for providing explanations.
Thank you

Hello,
The total editing time is essentially the sum of the time during which the file has been open.
The date of creation and modification coincide, except precisely when the file is open and unsaved, and are updated when the file is opened and then closed.
Any operation that "opens" the file modifies the last access time: this is the case when viewing properties, but also when a backup copy is made.
The content created reflects the original creation date of the file, but the "created on" item reflects the date of this "creation," which is different when it comes to external media, specifically the date when this file is first copied to that media.
To illustrate, I have a double scheduled backup, one on another partition and the other on external media: the "created" item is only modified in the latter case.
You can modify at least part of this information (perhaps not all, I don't remember) notably via a PowerShell script, but it’s not clear what benefit it would be for others to do so, not to mention that for this to happen, the security policy would need to allow that user to run scripts and access shares.

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
For your information, the file is on an external drive shared over the network.
1) I understand the item "Created on" and "Content created" because the file is cut from the drive and pasted on the PC, then pasted back onto the drive.
2) But for the item "Modified on," "Content created," and "Date of recording" 04/20:2021 16:30
I inform you that the file has been saved on the drive since 2019, hence the date of Last print 06/20/2019 10:12.
It was only consulted on 04/20:2021 16:30 but without any saving or modification!!!
Thank you.
