Hello
My wife has joint custody following her separation. She has a 9-year-old daughter whose father has installed a Familylink parental control app on the little girl's phone. When he picks her up, he tells her she has been to this or that place; he tracks her movements. It’s impossible to delete the app because he installed and configured it, and he refuses to give any passwords or identifiers. This is illegal as he tracks all our movements and invades our privacy. What can I do? I can't even remove the GPS location from the phone. I would like to be able to deactivate the tracking when we have his daughter and reactivate it later when he picks her up. Or do you have any other solutions??
Thank you

    Hello,

Disseminating or advising a workaround for protections put in place by the owner of equipment falls within the definition of hacking.

Knowing that access to a phone is protected by a password, I suggest you read the part of the CCM charter addressing this issue:

    https://www.commentcamarche.net/infos/25871-pourquoi-commentcamarche-n-aide-pas-a-trouver-un-mot-de-passe/

Forum members do not have the authority to judge statements and relationships between third parties. It may be possible to obtain a ruling from a judge regarding the monitoring of a minor child, as it affects your privacy, but that is outside the scope of this forum.

Finally, imagine if a "solution" for temporarily disabling security that each visitor to CCM could access were to be publicly posted on a forum; we would surely face legal actions targeting the administrators of our site.

    Hello,
I think the only solution is to buy another phone for your stepdaughter...
The one with the Family Link software remaining at your home when she is in her mother's care and your stepdaughter using the new phone, except when she goes to her father's.
If she wants to keep the same number, the SIM card will have to travel from one phone to the other.
