Hello,
I installed CrystalDiskInfo, but when I launch the application, it indicates that there are no disks? I have a 500 GB M2 SSD for the system, a 3 TB HDD for data, and a 250 GB SSD for a specific application.
In 'Device Manager' and 'Storage Controller' under 'Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller' I have 3 lines 'StoreMi button device' and 3 lines 'StoreMi controller (storport)' even though the StoreMi software is not installed.
Additionally, before the M2 SSD, I had an SSD for the system. Windows takes 2 times longer to boot with the M2 SSD than with the SSD!!

Here is my configuration:

Windows 11 64-bit
Processor: RYZEN 7 5800X
16 GB of RAM: DDR4 3200 MHz
Graphics card: Sapphire R9 290 TRI-X OC UEFI
Motherboard: MSI X570S CARBON MAX WIFI
1 Crucial NVMe 500 GB M2 SSD for the system
1 250 GB SSD reserved for an application
1 3 TB hard drive for data
1 ASUS Blu-ray burner
ANTEC HCG650 GOLD power supply
Thank you in advance for your help.

Correction: I just noticed that StoreMi is installed. The application is called 'AMD StoreMi'. That's why I couldn't find it in the list of apps.
How did it get there, perhaps during a driver update?
Is it possible to uninstall it without risk?
Thank you in advance.

.. .. .. O_o.

Before doing something stupid, make a backup of your most important documents (photos, videos, archives, etc.)
To another hard drive (external, for example) that is not affected by StoreMi

Since you told me in another post that everything was done automatically and that you didn't select anything (fast disk/slow disk)

here you go > https://www.amd.com/system/files/documents/storemi-user-guide.pdf
Read it carefully (it's in English); from what I could quickly understand, it talks about cleaning & formatting the SSD that was selected as Cache and Separating, and then it was possible to disable StoreMi and then uninstall

The data will be erased from the partition when deleted. < The data will be erased ....

Hello,
Thank you for your response. I just went through the StoreMi manual. The problem is that my English is very limited.
How can I find out which SSD is being used as cache? If it's the M2 SSD, does that mean I need to reinstall W11? I can back up my data; I use 'EaseUS Todo Backup Home'. Is it possible to leave only the M2 SSD (system) connected to uninstall StoreMi?
Otherwise, if I perform a reinstallation of W11 as it is, will that resolve the issue? At this point, I’m considering it.
Thank you in advance.

You're welcome, but you're asking too much from me...
I'm not omniscient or a fortune teller to know what your PC/StoreMi is showing you.
Just wait for someone else who uses StoreMi to reply to you.
Good luck.

I just found in the StoreMi home menu the display of HDDs. The HDD containing the data is listed under 'Source Devices'. The M2 SSD (system) and the SSD are listed under 'Cache Devices'. With this info 'cache device must have no data and no partition'. I suppose that only the two SSDs are affected by StoreMi.

Hello,
I have consulted many forums on the use of StoreMi and generally, users are very satisfied with this software, which adds value to disk management performance.
Thanks for your help.
